I am now able to broaden my thinking capacity; I am more innovative and able to work o an idea before I Implement it.

LORA has helped me grow at personal and business level. I learned about entrepreneurship and strategies. I was also exposed and learned from other entrepreneurs who have managed to get over their challenges in business, some who were innovative in solving problems for themselves and providing solutions for others, those solutions ended up being a business for the entrepreneur. I have better business skills now. The learning model employed by Lora allows for cross pollination in that we as classmates share experiences, learnings and support each other.
Leadership was the best class for me. I learned a lot about leadership and politics. This class helped me understand leadership styles and traits, which I could apply in my personal life and in business
The manner in which the material is delivered to learners, I started my classes at beginning of 2020 before Covid 19 where we had contact classes and met the lectures in person which made us connect and identify with them. When the pandemic hit we had to change the strategy and we had classes online. Personally I was worried that the connection won’t be the same but we got used to online classes. We did not lose the connection I was afraid will be lost. I feel as if I know all my classmate’s and lectures personally even though we have never meet in person with some of them. LORA’s innovation was evident during the pandemic, we never stop the course but we just did it differently and seamlessly transitioned to online learning. To me that was a sign that I am in the right institute.
I am also enjoying the book club. It has given me a renewed sense of loving to read and a means to continuously learn and connect with other entrepreneurs.
Leadership. I am much wiser now on leadership and how to deal with sub ordinates and leading a team. I now see myself as a better leader of the organization and a leader in other areas as well as in family.
LORA Courses are very good for self-
I personally wish we could go back to meeting in person, online classes are ok but we make friends when we meet in person. Even thou we did not have printed material on other courses we still managed to learn and be able to apply our learning in our daily lives. The positive thing about online is that we were able to do our group assignments online as groups, I think it would have been a challenge if we had to meet in person to do assignment so online was a good tool for groups.
I am a caterer, my work typically involves prospecting for potential clients, and doing presentations, which eventually leads to me cooking and providing food for the closed sales. I am also handling sales in a leadership position for an amazing Tech company , I believe that going through the LORA Centre has equipped me to consider other income streams based on all my skills.
LORA Centre has given me the tools I need to see myself as an innovative leader in my business and professional career. We were also encouraged to keep a resilient mindset. I really managed to see myself and business differently, meaning I realized the importance of understanding everything about it, we were taught to develop a business model canvas, which shows you your value proposition, the key activities you need to perform, customer relationship management as well as the key resources you need. Even though Covid 19 has hit us hard, I still draw inspiration from the Business Canvas Model on my wall.
The teaching style was extremely encouraging. The lecturers genuinely wanted to see us win. The work was also very practical, you could apply what you learnt on the very day it was taught.
My confidence grew a lot, I really started to believe in myself more. All we have is our mind set, then everything else seems possible. I registered for Lora at a time when I needed to grow as a business, I had also struggled with one course that set me back in a very reputable educational institute. I was emotionally crushed to say the least. Lora Centre could not have come at a more opportune time.
I would advice anyone to literally get clicking, register now. This is a life changing experience, apart from the knowledge that you can apply to your business. You will also get life lessons that will see you through until the end of time.
I am indebted to the LORA Centre for the passion that they have towards touching entrepreneurs and leaders. Everyone has the potential to be a high performer in their space. LORA Centre is here to give you the platform to realize your potential through interactive learning that is both practical and realistic. I have also embraced failure and now see it as an opportunity. I have learnt that pressure is a privilege as said by Doc Rivers.
Management of interior contracting projects for our clients. I sit with clients to understand what they want to achieve with a specific project which in most cases is space planning and refurbishments. We then suggest solutions, cost the solution and once approved we proceed to implement.
LORA has helped me to know WHY I am in business, meaning what value I am offering. My main focus is to offer value in meeting my client’s needs and wants as the basis of my offering and not focused on making a quick profit.
LORA is not merely an academic, the program challenges you to critic yourself in order to be better equipped to serve your clients. The lectures are successful practicing entrepreneurs hence able to identify with your challenges
Application of Business Model Canvas which gives me an high level overview of my business and or any business idea and using this as a foundation for my business plan.
Challenges are part and parcel of life, at LORA you will be equipped to face the challenges.

Working on the Business Model Canvas, it is a bird eye view of every single facet of a business. They were some parts of the canvas that I knew I was strong on and was doing really well, but then it opened my eyes and showed me areas that I had not really even thought of. It forced me to work on the areas that I was not well developed or not developed at all. I realized that its importance to have a handle on each and every aspect of your business. Also that needing to know where your strengths and weaknesses are and understanding what required to get through. Also to ask for help when you don’t know how or what ?
The innovation segment was a huge eye opener. I still think about the disruptive innovation. Quali Health and Malcolm Mclean the truck driver who reinvented shipping. I found that to be so interesting and in a way I discovered that I was trying to achieve in my Space fell into the area of doing something different and understand that has made a huge difference in how I approached the industry, clients and stake holders in my community.
The incredible people that run this programme. Roche… so welcoming warm and knowledgable and always willing to listen and share. To Lolo whom walks the walk of a serial marketing Guru. I love you guys both. Keep doing what you do, your impact on people’s lives is real.
Definitely Operations, i don’t think it existed within my business model and I took special note of Dr Moloi words as well as the part on Business Finance.
Understanding that as a service business that bills at an hourly rate or daily rate, finding ways to change and add services so to grow the pie. Using innovation to that that, with online services, training and e books and other products that relate to ones industry.
Absolutely go for it. I will certainly be signing up for another short course when lock down is over and our borders are open, I really do prefer the face to face delivery and interaction.
It has been wonderful to meet new people and to work with the amazing faculty. I hope you host more events in Botswana, we miss you..
I love staying in touch with my fellow class mates. And watch eagerly as they do great …. No wait not great…. Amazing things within their industry. I would so love to mention them here.. but I am sure they will be showcased on the Lora Website. .

I am a private General Practitioner, passionate about improving primary health care services in the rural villages of south Africa by building medical centres that comprises of different healthcare providers that provide affordable and quality health care.
Creating Alafa Health business model canvas made me improve and identify opportunities that were previously overlooked. Lora equipped me with tools to market a health care clinic which was previously not easy.
I used to say that entrepreneurship is a lonely journey especially in the health sector. Since I started Lora, networking with other entrepreneurs, sharing opportunities and challenges closed that gap.
My company was all about what I think my clients need until Lora changed that concept. It starts with a ‘Why’. Why are you doing it? Is it really what the client wants? What problem are you solving? All these questions changed my initial business model.
It will push you to identify where your company needs improvement and might even result in changing your strategy altogether.
I highly recommend Lora Centre courses to all the entrepreneurs that are ready to run their own companies or those who wants to scale-
Graduated from the University of Johannesburg in 2010 with a National Diploma in IT, continued to study Diploma in Social Media Marketing with Shaw Academy and having 10 years of work experience from private and public sector in ICT.
The LORA training has built my confidence as an entrepreneur. Enable me to write a business plan and to take a hard look at my business financial needs and prospects. It also provided a chance to address the shortcomings in my idea and develop answers to the tough realistic questions.
The business model. The teaching was precise and detailed to the core. Without this session on business model one cannot begin to start operating. This is something I heard about before but never did it practical, until attending LORA class.
Taking every idea into the “WHY” question-
I will advise them to take this opportunity as soon as they see the intake opening. This course is worth the money, impactful for a business holder with great practical lessons from idea to business plan, marketing and sales.
Intending to continue to be part of the LORA community and monthly online session. Will recommend a virtual incubation for LORA graduates who completed new venture creation, to continue benign mentored and sharing business lessons.
